  • I'm guessing commenting the old thread from back then is considered necro, so i'll make a new one.

So .... I kinda found an allusion for Gomu (Shoebill Faunus) but i had to tweak her name.

She's now known as Gomu Kurama ,based off Mt.Kurama in Japan, where the Tengu King was said to live.

Why tengu you ask? Their faces, kinda blends well to Gomu's case of RBF

    • Makes sense.

    • For some odd reason. I ended up portraying Carmine as the asshole teammate from Glasgow, complete with as much Scottish accent I can pull off

    • hmm, spi?

    • I don't know what Glasgow is. You've always portrayed Carmine as the guy who appears to be a dick but hides a soft spot for certain people very deep inside.

    • Ah, Glasgow is Scotland's largest city. Apparently it was infamous for the amount of crime there, gangs and all. Led to the creation of this trope where i decided to try and add to Carmine due to me watching Pokemon Sword and Shield comics that portray the female character as Scottish, complete with accent and attitude.

I also seem to have a bit of a prob trying to flesh out Yasen, besides her being a gearheaded speed demon tomboy who has a knack for stealing food when hungry. Like, how exactly do I portray her? As the fun loving big sister among the team?

    • I'm gonna try to flesh out Carmine's adopted family. Starting with his foster brother, Rott Regulus, quite the jovial guy who's quick on both his wits and feet, he still wonders how life would be if his mother were still alive at times.(she died giving birth to him, something his father, Bermelion, does not hold against him for)

For some odd reason, i had him as an opposite to Carmine in terms of combat. While both of them share the same weapon (hand held pile bunker, Rott's right handed though), go for hand to hand and and don't hesitate to fight dirty, Rott's fighting style is more on relying on speed to hit hard, unlike his adopted brother's balls to the wall and fuck everthing approach.

His semblance .... hmm, i just can't think of one ...

    • Does a pilebunker really lend itself to relying on speed for hitting hard?

        Loading editor
    • Hmmm, no. I could think of putting propulsion on the other end of the bunker to make the hits faster. But when I mean by speed for bigger striking power, I should have meant something like boxing, as in emphasis on hip rotation or somethin ...

I think i should reword that

    • Why not go for a different weapon that actually suits his fighting style instead of trying to use the same weapon agian?

        Loading editor
    • hmm, trying to find one for a boxing/mma based guy seems tough. Hmm .... a pair of gloves loaded with what is essentially a claymore mine on the knuckles (Claymore Mines are directional,so i guess less risk of blowing his arms off?
