I'm fairly new to the fandom, I only finished catching up a few days ago (so don;t worry about discussing spoilers) so I don't know if this as already been discussed before. But the Gods are jerks.
I can expect the God of Darkness to be bad, it's his thing. He is the God of Darkness, but I can't get over his brothers actions towards Salem.
Firstly, I would like to say, I can sympathise with him not wanting to bring back Ozma, I mean, it was a big thing to ask. I could forgive him for re-killing Ozma, since he did mention bringing him back would be "disrupting the cycle of life and death". But what I can't get over, is him cursing Salem like that.
He punishes her with immortality for being "selfish". Hello? How is wanting to bring back your loved one selfish? Selfish means putting your own needs before others. If Salem was being selfish then that would imply that bringing Ozma back would put someone else or others at a disadvantage. I know he talked about "a delicate balance", but that doesn't realy explain much about how bringing Ozma back would cause any form of harm to others. And I doubt Salem new either.
Also, isn't having your loved one re-killed right in front of your face punishment enough? Salem was so upset about having to lose Ozma after having him back for only a few seconds. Cursing her with immortality is just rubbing salt into the wound.
So does anyone agree?
