    • it was interesting. Tbh I feel they could do better doing a more dark Chibi spinoff if they tried using DC to the fullest... could you imagine if they made the Jaune/Zwei super-hero team and the "junior detectives"/Vale PD stuff into a "darkest knight" style "Gotham", then re-introduce RWBY's protags/main cast as other hero's and villains to escalate things like Gotham did?

    • Just... No. I hate those chibi skits, and trying to make them dark and gritty would just be stupid. Not to mention uninspired.

I'm actually glad it's canon material and mostly new stuff.

    • I'm not talking about actually making it chibi, just making an Au more in the vein of "Gotham" where "huntsmen" are more like superheroes, like every re-imagining of the Superhero Origin Story that happens all the time in DC's universe, "Dark Knight", "All-Star Superman", "Year One", "Gods and Monsters", "Batman, Ninja" etc.

I'm also not talking about not doing a Canon Comic at the same time, I just think with the amount of writers DC has they could come up with a good AU that really embraces the media better.

    • How about no. Let RWBY remain its own thing.

    • but that is all the more reason to do it, if the comic stayed non-canon, nothing in it would change the main story or retcon anything, it isn't like Merry are writing it.

    • Crossovers can be fun

    • Except it's not a crossover.
