"There's loads of ways to bring her back given that this is fiction and the entire lore of the RWBYverse hasn't been fully explored." Just because magic A exists doesn't mean magic B exists.
If she really wanted to win Emerald would make a hallucination of Pyrrha or Penny. That would be the most useful thing she had done in a fight. Seriously, that would destroy the protagonists and actually make her a smart and dangerous threat, using psychological warfare. It also is a way to bring Pyrrha or Penny back without ruining their death or creating a convoluted explanation.

The thing is though, should she be brought back? Problem with this is if a way to resurrect characters from the dead get revealed. It can cause serious repercussion for the franchise in the future. Because it becomes very hard to not want to do it again for other characters.
It encourages lazy writing.
And if this is done repeatedly. The impact of a Character Dying reduces dramatically and The plot will lose an important element of emotion that helps define Survival as it is. If characters die and we expect them to come back to life at some point.
What is the point of Death in the first place then? The fight for Survival becomes worthless if Death can be undone.
Comic Books abuse this endlessly.
Think of the Death and Return of Superman and how that caused outrage for how it was played out as well as being responsible for comics falling into decline because of how it cheapened the impact of Death.
This is something I do not want happening to RWBY.
For the full impact of her demise and keeping the concept of Death being irreversible with being felt heavily and helps promote character and Plot development, a sacred thing and not tossed away when the situation calls for it.
The Original Phyrra Nikos' demise at the hands of Cinder should not be messed with nor should she ever be revived.
Her soul could be shown to interact with the living again for a brief moment to give words of advice, or a illusion or hallucination of her appears. But I am against her coming back to life to join the group in their struggle against Salem.
She's gone and it should stay that way.
Agreed. I mean if you’re not going to kill your characters for good, why kill them at all?
That's not really "bringing them back" though, Emerald hasn't shown anywhere near the emotional depth to recreate their personalities, which means that it'd be 1 fight and only during the fight, that isn't enough to satisfy anyone, and really isn't what the emotionally attached would want brought back, as even the combat/weapon focused get nothing if the illusions have no substance to the characters fighting styles.

I meant "bringing Pyrrha back" as in "her image could be brought back". Instead of creating 6 Mercuries that fooled nobody she could create the image of Pyrrha. If during a fight Pyrrha would appear I definitely believe that our protagonists would be cought off guard.
She isn't a good fighter and throwing hallucinations at people is her most powerful asset. It's why Cinder has her. She should use her power in an effective way.
And another reason why she should stay dead: look at the way her death affected the characters, specifically Jaune. (And some of Ruby too) If Pyrrha gets brought back now, the way his character changed after her death would’ve been meaningless. If she gets brought back now, him moving on would be meaningless.
There’d be practically no point for Jaune to have such a reaction to her death if she’s just going to be magically brought back to life.
The main reason they shouldn't bring Pyrrha back from the dead is because it would totally cheapen the likely event of Salem dying because she finally accepted the idea of death, thus breaking her curse. Having them bring another character back from the dead would kind of undermine that lesson.
I can see potential in the idea of bringing her back being a temptation, a little idea that hangs in their minds. One that should be recognized as a bad one, but JN_R didn't see the story like RWBY did, and loss can make people desperate and irrational.
Keep in mind that this would be a temptation to eventually turn away from, recognizing that some things can't be fixed, and you have to move on. Admittedly one could achieve similar results with a vengeance story arc, but I want them to end Cinder, and showing that is hollow undermines audience satisfaction more than a little.
Not seeing the story with Salem isn't important. In fact, on some level them not seeing it would make their decision more significant. Maybe the Gods could even tempt them with Pyrhha's revival as a test.
