  • They certainly seem, peppy if anything, though it's honestly weird seeing Ruby emote so much after being a robot or close enough to it the last two Volumes. Also who thinks Fuckboi 1 and 2 are going to bite it the minute the Manticores show up?

Also, why must they always use lighthearted scenes in trailers for dramatic effect?

        Loading editor
    • This isn't really trailers, it's just a clip of the new episode?

And what do you want them to spoil things like all other trailers nowadays do other than Infinity War which just straight up lied?

        Loading editor
    • No, I meant when Ruby used her semblance.

They used that in the trailer, even though the scene itself was comical.

The last shot in the trailer with everyone running towards the camera, I assume. It was purposefully made for the trailer knowing there's no such "heroes united" scene in the movie.

IGN and Roosterteeth have been working together at E3 the past couple years so *shrugs* I don't know.

And the Trailers lied about how many stones Thanos had when Cap grabbed his hand and during the battle on Titan, and Hulk was in the final battle of Wakanda, hell that scene with them all charging at the camera never actually happened in the film. I'm not complaining it made the movie more enjoyable.

    • So I was right about the clip of Ruby using her Semblance in the train station not being anything dramatic. I wonder what she bought Yang. Part of me kinda hopes she did some clothes shopping for their winter outfits and so the reason they're not wearing them in the trailer is because they just haven't put them on yet.

Anyway, this teaser is cute and fun. I like it!

    • The background music gave me some serious volume 1 vibes. In fact, the entire scene gave me some serious volume 1 vibes, actually.

The gift bag says Mistral Central Station, so they're still in Mistral. I wonder how they're going to cross the ocean to Solitas later on. Do they plan on taking the train to the north Anima shores and then a boat or airship from there? I'm a bit confused, because Nora says they're taking the train to Argus. Was it ever confirmed which continent Argus is on?

Also, at 1:30 in the clip, there's a bright red-haired person pushing a bike that looks very much like Bumblebee in the back. Coincidence/re-using the model?

Pretty sure Argus is on the northern coast of Anima, and they're taking a train there so that they can take a ship from Argus to somewhere on Solitas. Nora mentioned that Argus is on a shore, and Ren imagined being ready to have fun at a beach.

HOLY SHIT, this is exactly what I wanted. They're stepping up with the animation, actually using it. The expressions aren't just more fluid and lively, the body language is now so expressive, it's beautiful. It actually makes all the standing around and talking look fun.

    • Yep, those two palookas aren't gonna last, if Blake's ocean trip is any indication, then they're gonna find more than they can handle.  And if the Grimm don't take 'em out, the trainwreck will.  So that'll be two more casualties of a war they don't even know is happening.

And, love the screen captures, SYUTK, their expressions are just hilarious. ^_^

      1) >Palookas

I literally had to use Urban Dict. to know what that meant. What kind of person would unironically use a word like that in 2018.

      2) Most likely not though. Blake's trip had a big lightning-shooting flying snake. Which went down with just 2 Huntsmen who hadn't even finished their 1st year + a normal ship that is mostly wood and yet had cannons strong enough to 1-shot-kill the Grimm once it actually landed a hit.

The Argus is a lot bigger, a lot fancier, has more Huntsmen on it....if they had anywhere near the same trouble either they're dealing with something on the lines of Volume 3, which would be silly, or everyone's brains and muscles took a dive for the sake of the plot.

In fact, these two are pros. They should put up a better fight than Blake and Sun did.

      3) Silly Alhazad. Trainwrecks are harmless in Remnant. Case in point: Team RWBY and Roman. And note that in their case, the train had bombs.

      4) Hopefully Vol.6 will be worth watching for far more than just the best meme faceshots.

    • Let's have a beach episode, but on the frozen beach of Argus, so instead of being in skimpy swimsuits, everyone's wearing winter clothes.

True, except that one episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender where the Fire Nation teens go to uh... what was it called... Ember Island or something? It seemed pretty filler-y up until we started learning more in-depth about those characters and their insecurities and such.

I love how ATLA had a tendency to take filler-like episodes and use them for worldbuilding and learning about the characters.

technically, didn't Avatar have like 3-4 beach episodes like that? the one they met Suki, the one with Zuko and his sister's faction, the one with Zuko, Suki, and Aang's other masters... and the one where Aang couldn't sleep(although that one might count as filler).

I sincerly doubt that an entire winter ensemble would fit in that tiny bag.

Didn't always work though. Lets not forget the waste of an episode that was The Great Divide.

Also, those two guys: A pair of idiots named Dee and Dudley? As in, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb(ley). Of course. If they have allusions, they'll of course show up again. I'll admit though, Dudley's rifle looks neat. The stock looks overly bulky so it obviously changes into something or at least holds a lot of ammo.

    • I get the feeling they're more green than stupid... like 3rd year or fresh grads that in normal times wouldn't get a job so important unsupervised, but everyone more qualified either died, found higher pay elsewhere, or is helping Vale.

IMO, the fact that they're soliciting bribes for 'special protection' is symptomatic of the corruption that made Roman Torchwick a power-broker in Vale. It won't surprise me if, when the Grimm attack., the 'security guards' will run like hell (or hide in the armoured caboose) and it's up to Team RRAYNBW to protect the passengers.

    • Yeah, but there's 7 people in it who judging by the trailer, are going to split up. It's not like they need a team name unlike when Ruby teamed up with JNR.

How many of those took place at a beach with beachy fun? It's been a while.

      1. Maybe something to add to her winter ensemble?

      2. OH my God, you're right.

Does tweed (the clothing material) have a color generally associated with it? 'Cause if it does, they could go the lazy route and name them Dee Tweed and Dudley Tweed.

Tweed is a Tartan-like pattern: Cross-hatching in brown, green and red over a beige base.

      1) ..........The hell are you talking about. What "corruption"? Since when was Roman a power-broker? There's no evidence of any of that. Best we have is Vale suffering from "incompetence born from feeling of safety".

      2) That would be extremely dissapointing. It is simply not good writing to make every single non-main/secondary character Huntsman be a pathetic mess, especially if they're supposed to be profesionals, assholes or not.

I don't expect them to put up a great fight, but I do expect them to at least fight. They don't look like the "fearsome and almighty" Branwen bandits for them to be that useless.

The first was book one(like ep 2), and he was windsurfing on the local monster fish in a rocky cove, the second was the episode you described, the third was before he had his spirit journey on the lion turtle right before the Ozai fight(I think they were at Zuko's summer house they visited in the episode you first described too if memory serves), and the last was right before he invaded the fire nation, on a very small island with just enough land to support the sheep combination creatures.
