- For the Remnant member of Justice League, see Barry Allen.
Barry Allen, also known as The Flash, is a character who first appeared in Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part One. He is based on his DC Comics counterpart The Flash.
Appearance[]
As a teenager, the Flash appears to be a young man with stylish platinum blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a completely different outfit compared to his Remnant counterpart. He wears a red and white tracksuit with zig zag zipper, red and orange fingerless gloves, and red sneakers. In additional, he wears a light orange scarf and red visor.
As an adult, his design is more in tone from his original counterpart with some buffness added around him.
Personality[]
He appears to be a friendly and goofy guy. He can be seen teasing Ren and Jaune after he got used to his Semblance during the training session at Beacon Academy.
Powers and Abilities[]
Weapon[]
- Main Article: Flash's Spear
The Flash's main weapon is a spear he found in the Beacon Weapons Locker Room. Unlike some of the other weapons found by the other Justice League members, this spear seems to match Barry's aesthetic perfect. The spear is red and yellow and features two retractable blades that end in lightning-esque zigzags.
Combined with his Semblance, Barry can throw his spear with deadly speed and catch it before it lands for rapidfire distance attacks. He has also demonstrated being able to create a whirlwind for a wide-range attack by quickly spinning the spear in his hands.
Semblance[]
Barry's Semblance in Remnant is Speed Force (unofficial). While it is unknown if Barry still has access to the actual Speed Force while in Remnant, he is able to tap into his Semblance and keep his iconic speed, though seemingly slower than his usual speed granted to him in his home universe. As he runs, Barry leaves trails of yellow lightning in his wake.
History[]
Origins[]
As a child, Barry Allen's mother, Nora, was murdered by an unknown assailant, and his father Henry was wrongfully convicted of the crime. Barry would spend years trying to find out who really killed his mother and prove his father's innocence. Eventually as a young adult, Barry got a job as a forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department, and one night, as he is working late on a new case, a lightning bolt strikes and shatters a case full of unspecified chemicals, drenching Barry, and temporarily knocking him out. As a result, Allen later finds that he can run at super-human speeds and possesses equally enhanced reflexes, senses, and healing. He became the hero known as the Flash and would go on to become a founding member of the Justice League.
Arrival on Remnant[]
The real Flash was secretly possessed by Killg%re to use him to power up the simulation world upon arrival.
Final Battle[]
He is later freed thanks to the Batman’s Semblance to help him separated from him. He helps his friends and allies to take down Killg%re, who possessed a Wyvern.
Trivia[]
Color Naming Rule[]
- Since The Flash is not a RWBY character, he does not have to adhere to the color naming rule. However, one of The Flash's more popular nicknames is The Scarlet Speedster, referring to his red hero costume.
Miscellaneous[]
- Unlike his original RWBY x Justice League counterpart, he's a human while his counterpart is a Faunus.
- It is likely that Barry is cut off from the Speed Force in this iteration. Since the Speed Force typically allows him to bypass the laws of physics, this might explain why he runs slower than usual. This may also explain why he wears a visor as he now has to protect his eyes from incoming wind and debris.
- Flash's Spear weapon may be based on the Reverse-Flash's Lightning Rod.
