Team ABRN (pronounced "Auburn") is a team of students from Haven Academy in Mistral. It consists of Arslan Altan, Bolin Hori, Reese Chloris, and Nadir Shiko. Team ABRN fought against Team RWBY during a match of the Vytal Festival tournament.
They play a key role in killing a large Nevermore at the beginning of the Battle of Beacon. In RWBY: After the Fall, Velvet Scarlatina states the team was observed defeating a Death Stalker later in the same battle.
As shown in RWBY: Before the Dawn, ABRN has transferred to Shade Academy following the Battle of Haven. They are one of the two teams to transfer to Shade after Haven was closed following Lionheart's death. Theodore confirmed eight new arrivals, being ABRN and SSSN from Haven.

Trivia
- The team was designed by Rooster Teeth production artist Erin Winn. Their weapons were also designed by Erin, with some help from Shane Newville.[1]
- Team ABRN are the second team known to come from Haven Academy, after Team SSSN. While undercover, Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black also claimed to come from Haven.
- The team was first revealed at the RTX 2015 RWBY Panel on August 7th, 2015.[2] At New York Comic Con 2015 on October 8th, 2015, footage from the episode "Round One" was released as exclusive content by Nerdist.[3]
- The fighting styles of Team ABRN (particularly Arslan) were stated on the DVD commentaries to be intended to have an Eastern martial arts influence, to reflect the fact that they come from Haven.[4]
- Prior to the start of the 40th Vytal Festival tournament, Human Nextwork Development Labs 1 and 2 wagered a bet on whether Team ABRN would make it to the semi-finals of the tournament, where the former gambled the team would, eventually losing that bet.[5]
