Meeting Ruby and Encounter with the Jabberwalker[]
Little meet Ruby
Little was a nameless mouse until they meet Ruby who become curious as she is struck in a loop until they got bored. They tried to get a cheese radish out of the ground until Ruby look them out and give it to them. Ruby decides to give the talking mouse a name temporarily, “Little”. They offer Ruby to visit their village and hoping know her friends are. However, they fell asleep until they spotted Blake and freaked out. Little vouched for Ruby and her friends by explains the leader about Ruby and the friends that they aren’t dangerous and Weiss and Blake are freed.
Little woke up from their nap and saw the Jabberwalker. They got scared and hide in Ruby’s cloak. After Ruby’s fainted from stress, Little can be seen comforting Ruby by fanning her with a leaf.

Traveling with Team RWBY[]
Little gives some info about the talking raccoon named Jinxy to Team RWBY since they visit their village and stole some things without looking. After they show Team RWBY the next destination, they have no idea how to get back to their village. They positive start making their own home from leaves, sticks and a rock by nearby bridge. Feeling guilty, Weiss asks Little if they want to accompany them which Little accepts after their made home fell apart. They travel to the market area where Jinxy starts auction three stole items disguises as rare items.
Little stealing the Marionette to make Ruby happy
Little decides to steal the jade marionette that Ruby has her eyes on behind Jinxy’s back. However, Jinxy’s power wore off after Little touch it before the deal was done. Little drop the Floating Array after it was change back to its original form due to being heavy for their sizes. Little smiles as they present the weapon for Ruby. Both Little and Ruby were the last ones to escape before being caught by Jinxy.

Following the Curious Cat[]
Little mainly hides in Ruby’s cloak or any of Ruby’s teammates from the Curious Cat to due their fears for cats. Later when they and others reach the next location, Little was the only one who last seen the cat as they were distracted by a bug, but didn’t inform Team RWBY until they asked them. They didn’t become the victim to the Herbalist’s mist due to being asleep entire time.

They and the other approach the Garden to find the ingredients to make Weiss, Blake, and Yang big again. They decides stick to Ruby’s side to find Leprechaun’s nose hair from Teapot Lady. However, they encounter a blacksmith crafting something in their tent. Some for unknown reason, Little has a bad feeling and says to Ruby that they shouldn’t be here. When Blacksmith asks Little if they are Ruby’s guide, they agreed since Ruby is their friend and wants to help her get back home. After Ruby saw an image of her mother, a bright light engulfed them and they are suddenly back to the market where Ruby’s friends and the cat almost all the ingredients.

Little refusing to leave the distressed Ruby
After storming off from the rest of her friends, Little had secretly accompanied Ruby by hiding in her hood as she wandered into the Paper Acre’s forest. Little attempted to convince Ruby to return to her friends and cheer her up, but Ruby instead told them to leave her alone and get away from her, believing that she will only ever get them killed if they stayed with her as she stormed off.
Little saving Ruby from the Cat
Despite being told by Ruby to abandon her, Little continued to follow Ruby to the Abandoned Acre and into Neopolitan’s trap. Where Little then saw Ruby’s confrontation with Neopolitan and her constructs as she slowly torture Ruby using her semblance. Little would be horrified to see how Ruby was helplessly overpowered, beaten and psychologically tortured by Neo’s clones.

Later, After the Curious Cat had blown Neo out of the Mansion and made their attempt to steal Ruby’s body, Little would save Ruby by biting the Cat’s tail. Stopping and interrupting the Cat from completing the process of possessing Ruby and stealing her body. Despite being flung away by Cat using its tail, Little had unknowingly given Neo enough time to recover and return to the scene and allowing her the chance to attack the Cat and give her an opening to sneak up on them and succesfully fling them away from Ruby. Giving Little the opening to desprately run to Ruby and try and convince her to get up and run away with them.
Despite their attempt however, Little is quickly killed by Neo, stomping them to death with her heel. Once Ruby drank the poisoned tea, Little's body fell with Ruby when she Ascended and was taken to the Great Tree.

Ascension[]
Little reborn as Somewhat
Following Little's death at the hands of Neopolitan, they underwent an ascension and emerged from the tree just before the departure of Ruby and her friends right after Ruby sadly noted that she hadn't seen Little while she was in the tree and wished for a chance to say goodbye. Little's new form was larger with a slightly darker coloring while they wore an outfit that resembled Ruby's, symbolizing Ruby's lasting impact on the mouse. Ruby and her friends told the mouse that they seemed like a friend, guide, protector and adorable. The mouse agreed that they all sounded somewhat correct and came to the conclusion that they weren't any one thing, "I'm somewhat of a lot of things." As such, Ruby named Little's new form Somewhat, promising Somewhat that they had already done more for Ruby and her friends than the mouse knew. Although Somewhat had no conscious memory of Ruby, she felt somewhat familiar to them, like a happy dream that the mouse couldn't remember. An emotional Ruby expressed confidence that Somewhat would help a lot of people and she was glad that they had gotten the chance to meet Somewhat, but it was time to say goodbye. As Ruby hugged her friend, Somewhat promised her that it would be alright and addressed Ruby as Huntress, something that she had asked Little to do.

After saying their goodbye to Ruby, Somewhat promised Jaune Arc that they'd look after Juniper for him and rode off on the jackalope with a salute.
As stated by the Blacksmith, as part of the big impact that Team RWBY and Jaune’s actions had brought to the Ever After, Somewhat’s creation and transformation was one of the biggest changes they have had unknowingly given to that realm. With it being hinted that Somewhat’s presence and future actions will bring great change to the world of the Ever After.
