The First Nightmare Grimm Incident at Beacon Academy[]
Shion arrives at the Beacon Cliff where they meet Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch, Shion informs that they have been looking for a Nightmare Grimm that is prowling around the Emerald Forest. Shion warns about the danger it could pose to the initiation test but Ozpin assures that the future Huntsmen will able to overcome any difficulty and wishes for Shion success in their hunting of the Grimm, Shion bows and says their goodbye to the headmaster.
Sometime after the initiation test, Jaune Arc falls under the effect of the Nightmare Grimm and Shion is called to examine him, after discovering their presence inside Jaune, Shion requests to begin the procedure inmediately. After relocating to a new room, Shion makes uses of their semblance and puts Pyrrha, Ren, Nora and Jaune's body on a dreamcatcher-like shape net before sending the hearts of Pyrrha, Ren and Nora inside Jaune's Dreamscape to fight the Grimm. After they manage to defeat the Grimm, the creature leaves Jaune's body and Shion captures it with their staff and seals it inside a jar. After finishing the procedure Shion tells that they have sensed another Grimm presence in the forest and advise Ozpin and Glynda to tell the students to remain diligent.

The Second Nightmare Grimm Incident at Beacon Academy[]
After Weiss Schnee fell victim to the Nightmare grimm, Shion returns to the Academy and performs the same procedure as before and sends Ruby into Weiss' Dreamscape to perform a reconnaissance mission. During the operation Shion gives guideance to Ruby on how to navegate around the dreamscape, and advince Ruby in carefuly using the special coins as their usage depletes Shion's aura.
Noticing that Ruby is in danger, Shion takes Ruby out of the dreamscape and waking her up. After that Shion reviews the data gathered by Ruby and determines the location of the Nightmare Grimm within the dreamscape. After their aura recovers, Shion sends Ruby, Blake and Yang together into the dreamscape.

Leaving Beacon Academy[]
After Weiss and Blake are saved from Nightmares, Shion decides to leave Beacon Academy, continuing their searches for Nightmares in other regions of Remnant.
