Ruda Tilleroot is a Huntress and a member of Team BRIR, first introduced in RWBY: Arrowfell. She and her team act as mercenaries, only protecting towns from the Grimm in exchange for a price. In RWBY Arrowfell, they are active in Atlas.
With the destruction of Atlas in “The Final Word”, her current status is unknown.
Appearance[]
Ruda is an red-headed girl with a slight tan, styling her straight orange hair with a parted fringe at the front and a loose top bun at the back, with a couple of loose strands and platinum streaks. She wears gunmetal gray circular goggles with an orange visor and bronze studs on the straps. Additionally, she wears a charcoal-colored cropped T-shirt that exposes her midriff underneath a cropped, lime green turtleneck sweater. She also wears presumably a pair of two-tone black and desert white pants, underneath two overlapping dark green belts, the larger one overlaid over the smaller belt wrapped diagonally from her top left to bottom right, adorned with gold spiked studs, and gunmetal gray belt buckle, while the smaller one inverts direction from top right to bottom left.
She shares a tattoo with her team on her left arm, and wears two streaks of black face paint underneath her orange eyes.
Like the rest of her team she has golden and bronze spikes in her design, having them on her goggles and belt.

Ruda is a cheerful and humble Huntress, but is not to be underestimated. She also cares greatly for her teammates.
History[]
She alongside her team all hail from outside of Atlas. They traveled to the Kingdom and are involved in a secret mission given to them by James Ironwood's predecessors to protect the ruins of the abandoned Atlas Military facility Fort Arrowfell and the technology developed there.
Ruda and her team arrived to defeat a Megoliath in Essen. After that, they leave town when Bram Thornmane angrily told them to get out.
After the encounter, Thornmane lied to Ruda and the rest of Team BRIR that Team RWBY were the ones who stole the orbs from Fort Arrowfell. After believing the lie, Ruda and her Team attempted to dispose of Team RWBY after they fell for a trap laid by Olive Harper before being defeated by the team and promising that they would meet again.
Once Team RWBY reach Ruda in the "Crystal Nexus" underneath the Tumak Ruins however, Ruda and the rest of her Team realized that Thornmane had lied to them and assist Team RWBY getting access to Fort Arrowfell by giving them her Nexus key.

Weapon[]
Ruda's weapons, Wear and Tear, are a pair of large, mechanized, desert brown and orange hued drills (with charcoal colored drill bits) that cover her hands.
Semblance[]

Ruda's Semblance, Delve, allows her to "swim" underground to surprise her enemies.
Trivia[]
- Ruda means "red-haired woman" in Polish. It also means "ore" in many Slavic languages.
- The team has matching tattoos and thorn ornaments.[4] Ruda has a tattoo on her left arm and ornaments on her goggles and belt.
- However in the first cutscene, Ruda’s tattoo is absent when she and her team were fighting a Megoliath.
