Changes from the Show[]

Chapter 5: "Weiss: Part One Look At Me"[]

  • When Weiss first arrives at Beacon, she is accompanied by Atlesian Knight-200s, even though James Ironwood had not yet revealed them to the public. In the show, Weiss is only accompanied by butlers.
  • Instead of bumping into Ruby on her first day at Beacon, Weiss bumps into Cardin, who teases her about her family.
    • Weiss is also shown already wearing her Beacon uniform instead of her battle outfit.
  • The Fire Dust crystal in Cardin's mace is absent in the comic. This allows Weiss to trap his mace in ice after tricking him into believing a Grimm is attacking him.

Chapter 6: "Ruby: Part Two The Egg"[]

  • The Manticore's tail is shaped like a mace instead of a stinger and it lacks wings. This design comes from the original concept art.
  • In the flashback of Penny’s death, Pyrrha can be seen wielding her shield on her back even though in battle, Penny uses her Floating Array to separate Miló and Akoúo̱ from her.

Trivia[]

  • In Chapter 5, during the free-for-all race, Blake and Yang can be seen wearing their Mistral outfits briefly, but at the end of the chapter, they are seen in their Beacon Arc outfits. Yang also appeared to have her metal arm in one of the shots, but this was later edited and recolored to match her other arm.
  • In the original version of Chapter 5, as the students are participating in the race, Glynda can be seen wielding a revolver almost identical to an original weapon made by Chris Lee. This was later redrawn to have her holding a generic starting pistol, before being redrawn to have her holding her crop.[4]
