The Phantom Field is a realm beyond Remnant existing somewhere outside time and space. It was created by the rogue artificial intelligence System No. XX who planned to use the dimension as part of her plans to assimilate the entire Multiverse.
The Phantom Field appeared to consist of various mismatched biomes, regions, and rural/urban areas some or all of which might've been copied from a multitude of different worlds.
