The Nidhogg[1] was an artificial Creature of Grimm that appeared in Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part Two.
It was a unique Grimm created by Arthur Watts designed to fight the Justice League. It had the ability to create Kryptonite in order to weaken Superman.
Appearance[]
The Nidhogg has long, black serpentine body that was a mix of the appearance of a cobra and a weedy sea dragon.[1] It has round, red, and see-through membranes and fins spread across its body, some of which styled to appear like wings. The Nidhogg had a red-patterned hood that made it appear to have eyes on the hood. It had four red eyes on its bony head, which stretched out to a point. It had spine-like spikes across its back, and a sharp tail.
History[]
The Nidhogg first appeared in Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part Two, where it appeared on a large bridge in the outskirts of Central City. It indiscriminately attacked citizens, before Ruby Rose and Superman arrived to fight it. Upon Superman's arrival, it grew Kryptonite on its body to weaken him.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Nidhogg was a very powerful and intelligent Grimm. It had been designed and had the ability to generate Kryptonite on its body at will, which allowed it to incapacitate Superman to counter him. The Nidhogg was very durable, capable of taking on numerous hits to its body and energy blasts from members of both the Justice League and Team RWBY. It could also spew fiery breath from its mouth and maneuver easily in the sky, having great ability to move around and dodge attacks. It was also capable of keeping up with Flash's attacks to a degree and had great reflexes when utilizing its claws.
Though despite its durability, enough attacks weakened the Kryptonite inside it until it was shattered. Leaving it vulnerable to Superman's full strength while also unable to handle the constant barrage from the numerous heroes surrounding it.
