  • Hello SpiritedDreaming, i am just wondering if you think a Net Style Weapon would work in RWBY, I was going to bring this up on OC Weapons i just want to know your opinion first before posting it. Basically the weapon allows the user to wrap around an enemy target and then activate the dust in order to freeze or paralyse them. It also has a more melee focused option in terms of the Flag Mode.

(sorry if it's Ugly, it was difficult to do this in 3D)

    • I mean, anything is viable in RWBY. Look at Clover and his Fishing Pole. As long as you can accurately think of a fighting style that doesn't require the opponent to be a complete idiot or stand still.

Also, you have already submitted this to the weapon thread. I saw it before.

Oh my bad, (actually i don't think i have submitted this version or at this style to the Weapons Thread. Only the OC Thread which is more about the Artwork then its functionality)

  • Hi, so there’s a heated discussion going on in the “If this Volume Doesn’t Pay Off, I’m Done” thread on the General Discussions Board, and it’s still persisting.

  • Heya! How's it going?

So, I noticed the heights for the Happy Huntresses are already up on their pages; should we go ahead and include the concept art as a reference as well?

    • I have no clue, tbh. I don't even know where they got the heights from. I'm just saying, if the heights have been publicly released by officials, they're good to go in.

A quick ask in staff chat suggests they're from the episode credits, in which case they're not public and should not be in the infobox.

    • Just saw this. Had fallen asleep. Yeah, I was confused as to why they were there in the first place.

  • Was I really as aggressive as SDC?

      Loading editor
    • In your initial reply, trying to enforce the necroposting policy, no. But your later reply was very aggressively worded, especially ending it with "Wow. Just...wow."

        Loading editor
    • Okay. That's fair. It's just that I'm so tired of SCD taking every opportunity to be aggressive. When they make mistakes and get called out for it they always lash out and pretend that it's the other person's fault. Even when it's completely unreasonable. They always stubbornly hang on to their own truth... anyway. They never apologize for their behaviour or admit they're wrong. Any time they respond I just twitch at the thought of getting insulted again. Anyway I've decided it's easier to never read or respond to any of their comments because it always brings issues.

    • Good idea, and probably healthier for your mental and emotional stress levels in the future. I wish more people would decide to do the same thing.

That’s something I would do. It’s nice to see other people than just me take that path for a change.

  • I am so dum sometimes.

I was wondering who this new person was without reading the name.

Anyway, I like the new pic! :)

    • It's from an anime called the Fate Series. The first one made was Fate/Stay Night, which has two other alternate paths (same story, alternate universe basically) called /Heavens Feel and /Unlimited Blade Works.

Then there's /Protoype which was the guys original plan before his editor told him to switch the genders of the main characters, since manga was more male orientated when it came out and guys would enjoy reading about a guy who summon a powerful female warrior for stuff than a girl who summons a powerful male warrior.

There's /Zero, which is a prequel to /Stay Night and deal with the previous generation and expands on stuff that gets mentioned in the /Stay Night series. Then there's /Prisma Illya, which is another alternate universe where the ending of /Zero was different and it follows the younger sister of the main character from /Stay Night.

And that's all the anime I can think of off the top of my head.

The game we're talking about is a semi-separate story called /Grand Order, which employs a gatcha system for rolling for servants purely based on luck. Arthur and Hokusai are SSR servants, also known as 5 Star Servants, and have like a 0.5% chance to roll on a normal banner. When the servant is on 'rateup' the chance goes 1%. But even then you aren't guaranteed to get the servant you want, as once you roll that 1% chance, the game then internally rolls against every SSR servant in the banner to see which one you get.

Arthur is from Fate/Prototype, and is a limited servant in that he only appears in the Valentines banners. I don't know if Hokusai is limited. I rolled my first Arthur this year with my very last roll of the event - if I hadn't gotten him then I wouldn't have had a chance to get him until Valentines next year. And in rolling for Arthur, I got 'spooked' (what we call when someone who's not limited pops up unexpectedly) by Ozymandias himself, who was another one I wanted but not the servant I wanted at Valentines.

I'm extremely salty at my alt account though. Toss a ticket at whatever banner it currently on...and almost guaranteed to get the SSR on rateup. It has a 1:1.6 ratio for 5 star vs 4 star servants, while my main account has a 1:4 ratio. That means for every four 4 star servants, which is easier to get, my main account has 1 5 star servant. While my alt account gets a 5 star servant almost every third gold servant he summons.

I'm still salty as hell about him managing to roll Berzerker Vlad and Scheherezade in the same roll. Like, FFS.

  • Ha... haha. ha. oh wow. Sorry, my brain is mush. Thanks.

Also apparently... "modificated" is a word? Huh?

      Loading editor
    • I wouldn't trust an unreferenced wiktionary word. Modificated isn't in the Merriam-Webster, OxfordLearnersDictionaries.com, or Lexico.com (powered by Oxford).

In fact, the only place I can find it is webster-dictionary.net, where it only means "to qualify". And looking up the word modificate on wiktionary tells me it's an obsolete word nowadays.

It might have been a word at some point, but as language evolved it's fallen very much to the wayside and is no longer in use.

        Loading editor
    • Idk. I googled it now and this popped up. (Still have no idea what my brain was doing)

I wonder if anyone can add anything to wiktionary.

Yeah, wow. Sorry again. I think I shouldn't be editing for a few hours. Maybe rest a bit.

        Loading editor
    • Lol, it's fine. Your brain porbably went "she made modifications, therefore it's been modificated!" The logic is there.

It's better than me earlier today. I meant to say "take five snapshots" and ended up saying "take snive fapshots". I very quickly changed the subject.
