"(Her semblance has been called speed and Qrow never called it rose petal burst)"
I'm pretty sure we both undid this simultaneously and you deleted my revision, but this same misconception was discussed with a user previously this week with many of us and Admins informing the user of the multiple times RT confirmed speed and telling them not to change the page, if this happens again you may want to escalate this to an Admin or research further.
In hindsight, I could and should have used the box to describe changes to describe why I deleted that sentence, but I created my account just so I could change Neo's page, so I'm still kind of figuring out the system.
Anyway, I can answer your question here. I deleted that bit of text because I simply feel it isn't accurate, and I can describe why. (I am open to discussion on this matter)
I feel there is no proof of this supposed new ability.
In the Neo vs Cinder fight, she used her semblance only a couple times that we saw. Once at the beginning, when she jumped off the pillar at Cinder, only to shatter on Cinder to reveal she was actually standing beside her. She then attacked and actually hit her, which contrasts with every example of her illusions we have, implying it is real.
She then uses her semblance when jumping out the window, shattering on the ground. Presumably with the same illusion, she turned invisible and moved elsewhere, putting Roman's hat on, and then revealing herself. Her now tattered clothes can also be chalked up to her using her semblance to make them look normal.
Essentially, I think it's rash to attribute the fight to a new facet of her semblance when everything can be easily explained by what we already know. If we saw some super concrete examples of her using solid illusions, then that would be different.
So that is why I deleted the part about solid illusions.
Rollbacking doesn't allow to give an explanation. The reason for me to rollback was that the topic of RWBY being an anime or not has been brought up numerous times. It is largely considered an anime. Even in Japan.
I did took an actual Japanese class, anime is described as animation made in Japan and animation not made in Japanthat uses the Anime style art is actually called "Anime-influenced Western animation" such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Kappa Mikey, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, and Teen Titans. And Rooster Teeth is located in Austin Texas.
SpiritedDreaming wrote: Japanese fans consider it an anime. I think that's endorsement enough to call it an anime.
Except Anime is just the japanese word for animation. They literally call any animation "Anime", even things like Spongebob. Or each and every of the series Marth mentioned.
Would you say Spongebob is Anime? Unless you're japanese or a weeaboo, no. There's no reason to call it "Anime" just because Japan does so. We're not Japanese, we use the world-wide definition of Anime.
Marth is in the right in this topic. RWBY is not Anime, it's Anime-influenced western animation, or Animesque Animation.
Of course, I'm pretty sure this topic is irrelevant to most, if not all articles in this wiki. Including the Manga.
Weeaboo's would not call it an anime, as that term generally refers to people with a vast bias to japanese animation, like supremacist level bias.
Edit; to clarify, this post was only addressing the assertion of the above post on the position of those whom consider themselves "Weeaboo's", not my own position nor anything overtly relevent to the discussion.
Regardless of the fact that there are fans on either side of this argument, we can always defer to "Word of God" in this scenario. The makers of RWBY past and present like to refer to it as an anime, and what they says goes. Each fan of RWBY can refer to it however they like, but we've decided that "American Anime" is the best way to refer to it in our articles.

The explanation is that we couldn't leave a reason because rollbacks don't allow for that. And it was removed to begin with because we've debated this in the past and settled on "American Anime". Thank you for your attempted contribution though, unfortunately in this case it was unnecessary.
There's a portmanteu name for the animé-inspired European shows like Totally Spies! - 'Franime'. That said, I think it's interesting that, whilst RWBY is listed as an animé on fanfiction.net, Totally Spies, Teen Titans Go and the Avatar franchise are under 'Cartoons'. I suspect that the definition also embraces certain traditions of storytelling, character design style and charactger personality on top of just the general graphical and animation styles.
really? becasue i've seen some pretty long quotes on the quote pages. i mean have you seen the second quote from qrow under "a much needed talk" mine is 1 average sentence and 4 sentences of 3 words each
Discussed, the quote was determined to not really be suitable for the top of a page, relic or maidens. Although the information is still contained in the contents of the page.
Besides, just because plot relevant informstion is said by a charavter, that doesn't mean it is suitable as a quote reflective of them or that we really need it quoted in its original exact words. It is unnecessary.
im gonna edit the chart just a bit if you don't mind. im gonna change the location of fall and spring to Beacon and Haven respectively because they had Amber under Beacon to give Pyrrha the powers for a reason and Lionheart and Qrow both say that Spring is needed for the Relic under Haven. now im thinking that winter would be Atlas and Summer would be Shade but I don't have any plans to add them in there until they are confirmed.
So, I was trying to post a message on FinalWholockianGrrlGamer's wall, but when I hit 'post', it just dissapeared without posting. So, if you have any idea what could be causing this, please send me a message, thanks.
I got it to actually work! So, in future, when someone else gets the same problem, the solution is: Go into your 'contributions' page, find the thread, click on it, and then post the message there... It should fix the problem of not being able to post to it at it's source.
Hoping this info is useful and will be passed on to others,
That's not how the contributions page works. It lists any successful post already made. In your case you happened to be going to a page you'd already contributed to. And once you click that page, you are actually returning to the same source. You simply navigated your way back to it, and that solved your glitch. Had you tried refreshing the page?
Also, leaving the same message on more than one person's wall is a bit of an overkill, even when you're having a problem. There is always a staff member present, and we watch the activity. So anyone who is around will see your first message, no matter whose wall you posted to.
It's not obligatory, don't worry about it. ^.^ Join us if you can. If not, you may get pulled into chat from time to time for PMs. It's just so we can get in touch more easily and communicate ideas when needed.
It's a chat/video call program that can be used via net, or downloaded onto a computer or mobile device. You create an account, and then look for people you know. Search the name "SpiritedDreaming" and become contacts with her. She'll take it from there.
If you've had an idea for weeks, why didn't you bring it up? Ask someone? You've been taking initiative all over the wiki, but you've also caused some trouble in doing it as your actions have come into conflict with the plans of staff.
Personally, I am not happy about all the time I just lost recreating what I did for the Characters page because you jumped on my charmugs as soon as I made them. This is even more time I had to take away from my Christmas prep plans for the day. I'll get over it and I'm leaving the comp as soon as I send this, but I strongly, strongly request that you both be patient and communicate in the future.
Please understand Jaric that all admins and mods are invited in a chat group where we can and do discuss, among other things, the future pages of the wiki, who does what and, more importantly, WHEN we do them in order to avoid data loss when creating new pages or making large updates.
As someone that isn’t in the know but wants to contribute in major ways to the wiki, in the future please use the forums to ask about this stuff before you make them.

should we make pages for the albains too?
P.s. I can assum ghira and kali are husband and wive due to sharing last names right?
We're on the fence about the Albains at the moment due to lack of relevance as of this episode. Currently we want to leave them as minor characters, aka not make a page for them, but that's subject to change in future episodes.
Hey there, unfortunately it was decided that the page in question was unneeded. The character pages themselves provide explanations of family relations, and the existence of families themselves isn't a trait special to RWBY.
