Hi Gastropod, I'm sorry to bother you, but since that one who orginally english translation of RWBY manga chapters 1-11 and now did the summary of the chapter 12 about Team RWBY joining Team JNPR fighting against the merger King Taijitu. I was wondering if it's alright to still upload some images, covers, page numbers, and characters who appear since we don't know we the next official english translation comes out.
Hi, Azure. Thanks for checking. Information should be fine, but no images with fan-made text should be uploaded. As the English translation becomes available we will be replacing chapter covers, etc, as well.
Alright just checking since the current chapter that been released last week don't have many interest image beside Team RWBY team up with Team JNPR, how to Merger King Taitsuji is a stronger than the avenge Grimm when fused together. There is one slightly fun scene where Pyrrha catch Jaune in brial style, and I'm not sure if this is important but judging by Ruby's expression, I think she scare of snakes. If alright to upload them and adding information about King Taijitu when merger together.
Yes, it is OK to add the King Taijitu info, but without using any fan names for its merged state.
Listing the characters who appear is OK. Filling in how many pages long the chapter is will also be fine.
As for the raws, the lack of text is important to keep it fair use, as well as limiting the images to a select, demonstrative few. Obviously anything with watermarks not by the publisher will not be allowed.
I think I understand what you met. Just let me know if I'm going right or wrong when upload images. The raw chapters I found has a lot of watermarks on each pages and has some on the good image I want to upload...
But, something like the kanji on the cover is OK. For instance: Chapter 10's cover is OK. The only English on is crediting the creators. Chapter 12's cover is OK. The Japanese on there is action and not dialogue. Chapter 11's current cover is not OK because of the line about Team JNPR.
Can I add a maybe to inconsistencies? Nora moved rather abruptly from dirt to grass but she might have reposistioned hersself and the cut of hte geist only reappearing during the end im not sure about either but can i still add it?
On the Faunus page, right before your edit, I added (before it was undone) that Faunus are welcomed in Vacuo without much if any discrimination. It was retracted with the idea that it was only "welcome if you can survive" not necessarily anything about Faunus. But that line was said as Faunus and Humans shake hands.
The edit summary explains that it was because you wrote it as Qrow stating that, which he never actually did. It was all visual clues. However, I agree that it's worth noting and even put it on the episode page as a trivia note when the WoR came out.
My vote is to include it on the Faunus page, but leave Qrow out of it.
It wasn't me who removed it. Currently I don't really have any strong opinion of whether or not it should be included.
That said, Qrow's statement was that anyone who was able to survive there was welcome. He did not state that Faunus aren't discriminated against, nor did he even mention Faunus. The statement is based on inference from the images. If we do note it on the page, we would have to make this reasoning clear and not just attribute it to Qrow.
Qrow did not say anything about Faunus not being discriminated against in Vacuo. He didn't even mention the word Faunus. If you want to put that statement in, you can't just state it as plain fact and leave it at that, you have to explain the reasoning for how you made the inference.
I know you didn't undo the initial edit, I just deferred to you due to your position here. I hope we can find a version of this that is able to stay on the pages because this is something the other kingdoms lack when it comes to faunus.
the Edit on the GE page, how is "targeted for release on multiple platforms" incorrect? They announced a target date down the road in at least 1 con or stream in this last cycle(I think it was 3 separate occasions but I was not paying close attention)
That first part wasn't wrong. The statement as a whole was wrong because it said it was only available on PC. But it says later in the lead section that console versions are planned, so it wasn't only wrong, it was redundant.
I just noticed that the Crescent Rose page does not have a "Dust Use" section unlike Gambol Shroud and Myrtenaster (I've edited section 2 of Gambol Shroud by the way) despite the fact that Ruby used 3 types of Dust for it during the "Reloading" Skit of Chibi Ep 3. Is it fine to add a "Dust Use" section for Ruby's weapon?
My next question is, did Ruby use the Gravity Dust ammunition in the "Red" Trailer? There is this ammunition clip here, which caused a black muzzle flash while increasing her speed, similar to the one demonstrated in Chibi Ep 3. (A gallery caption labeled it as "Cross Shot" but I've changed it anyway, since Cross Shot was never directly mentioned in any other article.)
I think it's pretty clear that Crescent Rose does use Dust ammunition. Even if Chibi is non-canon, what we know about Dust makes it very likely. The older articles on the Wiki do need rewriting so if that isn't covered sufficiently feel free to update the Crescent Rose page with the Dust use.
As for the gravity ammunition, at this point we were working on the assumption Ruby did use Dust ammunition in the "Red" Trailer, since the cross-clip ammunition has the exact same marking (the four arrows pointing to a central point) in the Chibi skit and in the "Red" Trailer.
