The Melee Androids were mechanical guards designed by Merlot to protect his island from any intruders.
Appearance[]
Melee Androids are tall, top-heavy and crimson red androids. They have the Merlot Industries logo on their chest, and have neon blue highlights across the entire body, including the eyes. They are slimmer than their white counterparts.
Their glaive is long, taller than the android carrying it, and has incredible reach.
History[]
At some point prior to the events of RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, Merlot created the Melee Androids to act as security for Merlot Industries and to protect his private island.

After Team RWBY and Team JNPR make their way to Merlot's Island, they encounter the Melee Androids acting as security and take them all out.
Following the destruction of the island and the main Merlot Industries facility located there, the Melee Androids were all destroyed in the process.
Abilities[]
The Melee Androids were shown to be good fighters, using their glaives to attack their enemies. When fighting against students like Team RWBY and Team JNPR however, they could be defeated with multiple attacks.
