Lindsay Elise Jones (née Tuggey) is the voice actor for Ruby Rose in RWBY.
They also voice Vanessa Kimball in Red vs. Blue, Hilda in X-Ray and Vav and Space Kid in Camp Camp. Their live action roles include appearances on the RT Recap, Rooster Teeth Podcast, Ten Little Roosters, Immersion and the Internet Box Podcast.
Lindsay originally edited the audio version of the Rooster Teeth Podcast and worked behind the scenes during the live streams, occasionally making an appearance on the podcast. They are currently part of Achievement Hunter, also appearing in various Let's Plays and on the Off Topic podcast.
Outside of Rooster Teeth, Lindsay also appeared regularly on a podcast called the Internet Box with Barbara Dunkelman, Kerry Shawcross, Michael Jones and Ray Narvaez Jr. from Achievement Hunter, and three other male members of the AH Community. The Internet Box ran weekly from late 2011 to early 2014.
On May 9th, 2014, Lindsay married Michael Jones, a fellow Achievement Hunter and the voice actor for Sun Wukong. In November 2016, they announced they were expecting their first child. Their daughter, Iris Elise Jones, was born on May 24th, 2017.
On August 5, 2018, it was announced that they were expecting a second child, due to be born in February 2019. On February 18, 2019, Lindsay's second daughter, Luna Claire Jones, was born.
Trivia
- In order to get into character before recording lines, they take off their shoes, yells Yang Xiao Long's name in Ruby's voice multiple times, repeats the line "Hi, I'm Ruby!" or listens to "Red Like Roses Part II" and anime opening themes, most notably Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt and Lucky Star.
