Schnee Manor[]

Klein was the Schnee Family Butler and had been stated to have loyally served the family for decades, even changing the diapers of the Schnee Children when they were still infants.[1] This was seen where it was apparent that Klein himself has cared for and served all three Schnee children since their early childhoods.

Even though he was fired for helping Weiss Schnee, he still comes to her aid in "War". After Whitley Schnee called him for help, and he returns to the manor, he takes a look at it and sees that it wasn't up to the same standards it usually was when he still worked for the family.[2]

Schnee Family[]

Weiss Schnee[]

Klein gets along with Weiss greatly and cares for her when she feels down. In "Remembrance", Klein cheers her up after she has an unhappy conversation with her father and calls her his "happy Little Snowflake". In "Two Steps Forward, Two Steps Back", Klein comes to her room and asks if she is alright after hearing her window break. When he sees her summoned Arma Gigas, he is impressed. Weiss asks him a favor, and he nods, another indication that he is more loyal toward her than her father. In "Taking Control", Klein shows his loyalty to Weiss by helping her escape the Schnee Manor. Before she leaves, both Weiss and Klein acknowledge that, including Winter, they are and always will be each other's family. This declaration of devotion is sealed with a goodbye hug.

In "Cordially Invited", Weiss is shown to feel guilty and deeply saddened when she heard that her father had fired Klein despite his decades of faithful and loyal service to the Schnee family after Whitley implied that their father learned of his involvement in assisting her escape from the Manor.

In "War", Klein was happy to see Weiss again at the Schnee Manor and does not blame her for getting him fired at the Schnee Manor and reassured her that he held no hard feelings for her for it.

Ice Queendom[]

In “Red, White, Black, Yellow“, he was one of the few people who believed in Weiss to win her match against the Arma Gigas. He was also the only one to see Weiss off before her trip to Beacon Academy, as Winter was at work while Jacques and Whitley were absent.

Whitley Schnee[]

Whitley appears to have seen Klein as just another servant, simply calling or texting him for aid. However Whitley has shown to at least be appreciative of Klein's abilities, having been set into a good mood due to him making crepes for his breakfast meal.

In "War", Klein is happy to see Whitley after he calls him, not for himself, but to use Klein's skills as a doctor to help an injured Nora Valkyrie. He attempts to help Klein with directions, only for him to politely dismiss it, telling Whitely he knows the way around the manor.

Jacques Schnee[]

Klein was shown to have a strong dislike of Weiss' father when he was working as a Schnee Manor butler. This was seen when Klein himself showed that he actively made fun of Jacques behind his back in order to help cheer Weiss up due to her depression at being forced to comply with her father's "requests" once again and being separated from her friends after her return to the Manor. When Weiss finally made up her mind to runaway from home, Klein went against Despite Jacques being his employer, Klein had very little to no true loyalty to him, as seen where he was willing to go against his orders from Jacques to keep Weiss confined to the Manor and instead helped her escape. He was shown to be annoyed when Jacques called out for him that instant.

As seen in "War", Klein primarily blamed Jacques for him being fired from working in the Schnee Manor and does not blame Weiss for him losing his job. It was shown that Klein himself personally held him responsible and made a point of clearly expressing his contempt for his former employer. It unknown if he knew that Jacques was killed by James Ironwood in "Worthy", but he likely didn't care that he was killed.

Willow Schnee[]

As Klein has been a long term employee of the Schnee Manor and has worked as its Head Butler since her children's early childhoods, Klein has known Willow for a long time and likely served her with the same devotion as one of her family employee's.

Klein trying to stop Willow from leaving but to no avail

As seen in "Dark", Klein and Willow are shown to have a friendly relationship with each other, with her having hesitantly but politely greeted him after meeting him again after he was fired from the Manor, hinting that Willow herself did not approve of his dismissal from the Manor by her husband. Later during the Hound's attack on the Schnee Manor, Willow and Klein is shown to have a somewhat familiar relationship with each other, with Willow having sat down with him and kept him company as he watched over Nora and Penny.

As seen in the Hound's invasion of the Mansion, Klein is shown to have a a degree of concern for Willow, having been shown having tried to calm her down when she began to fall into panic at the situation and tried to call her back and stick together when she hysterically ran away to her room in a panicked fit for her own safety after losing her cool due to the Grimm entering into the mansion.

Team JNPR[]

Nora Valkyrie[]

In "War", Klein was called in by Whitley to the Schnee Manor in order to treat Nora for her extensive injuries due to overloading her Semblance. Klein himself immediately set to work on treating Nora that by the time of "Dark", he was able to successfully stabilize her condition and Nora was able to regain consciousness.
