Kdin Jenzen is the voice actress for May Marigold in RWBY and Poppy from the animated adaptation of "The Grimm Child".
Biography
Having graduated with an Associate in Arts degree from the College of Southern Nevada in August 2005, Kdin began producing Coming Soon in March 2013 under a temporary contract.
She then moved from San José, CA to Austin, TX in October 2013, and began full-time employment at Rooster Teeth in November 2013, as a behind the scenes video editor and camera crew for Achievement Hunter, celebrating the one-year anniversary of Coming Soon in March 2014. During her time with Achievement Hunter, Kdin was responsible for editing the weekly content. While mostly working behind-the-scenes, Kdin became a reoccurring host in Let's Build and was occasionally participated in Let's Plays.
On March 19, 2016, Kdin departed from Achievement Hunter, but is still working as an employee of Rooster Teeth, having transferred departments and now editing work for The Know. She currently heads up all editing as well as Social and Community management for The Know.
On December 2016, Kdin revealed that she is a transgender woman.
On December 17th, 2019, Kdin revealed she would be voicing the character of May Marigold from RWBY Volume 7 and onwards.[1]
She voiced Poppy in "The Grimm Child".
On June 5th, 2022, Kdin announced that she would be leaving Rooster Teeth to work on her streaming career. However, she also stated that she would still voice May if she ever appeared again in RWBY.[2]
On July 1st, 2022, Kdin revealed that the last project she worked on at Rooster Teeth before she left was acting as the Co-Voiceover director and Co-Director of casting for RWBY: Ice Queendom.[3]
On July 16th, 2022, Kdin revealed that she had moved to El Segundo, CA and became full time manager of social media and content for Square Enix America.[4]
