Jordan Scott is a video game developer who built and designed the game RWBY: Grimm Eclipse and is currently working on his own game, Arbiter.
Jordan gained experience in game development by independently creating fan-games based on existing properties, such as Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z. While successful, these endeavors were not profitable, and Jordan intended to complete his post-secondary education and create games based on original intellectual properties.
RWBY: Grimm Eclipse was built in the Unity engine over a period of around 5 months and was to be his last fan-game before he moved on. Jordan independently re-created all the assets from the show, modeling and texturing environments, character models and weapons.
The game demo was released to the public on April 1st, 2014, the 10th anniversary of the founding of Rooster Teeth. The overwhelmingly positive fan reaction drew the attention of series creator Monty Oum, who contacted Jordan less than 24 hours after the game's release.[1]
At the RWBY Panel at RTX '14, it was announced that Rooster Teeth hired Jordan and would officially adopt Grimm Eclipse. Jordan continues to develop the game alongside the newly created Rooster Teeth Games team.
Arbiter was announced by Jordan Scott in July 2017 and Jordan attended RTX 2017 to promote Arbiter. He released a pre-alpha demo around the same time. Since then Jordan has raised money for the project on Kickstarter and Patreon. He has been updating his fans constantly with news about the development of the game.
