Crossed was a settlement in the Kingdom of Atlas located in Northern Solitas.

The settlment was destroyed during the Arrowfell Incident.

Description

When Team RWBY enter the ruins of the settlement, the buildings are shown to be destroyed and the place overrun with Grimm. The buildings look similar to the ones seen in Essen and are shown with silos, implying that it was once a farming settlement before it's destruction.

History

Some time prior to the events of RWBY: Arrowfell, Crossed was attacked by a large horde of Grimm. The residents escaped the attack by migrating to the other settlements on the continent, leaving their old home abandoned. Among these people where Cerise Claire who accidentally left behind her precious book containing information on her ancestors who fought during the Great War and only had a pickaxe to defend herself with.

When Team RWBY arrive at the ruins, the encounter multiple Grimm while they are looking for essential ore to help Kasset Ra make new armor for himself. While they visit the ruined settlement, they also find Cerise's precious book and later return it to her.

After Hanlon Fifestone is arrested and activates four hidden orbs across Solitas, Crossed is said to have been attacked by the Grimm once again by the residents of Dormir. When Team RWBY return to the ruins, they find one of the orbs they are looking for and destroy it.

After Penny Polendina unlocks the "Crystal Nexus" gate underneath the ruins of Crossed, Team RWBY find Bianca Prisma as she apologized for believing Bram Thornmane's lies before giving them her Nexus key.
