The second chapter of the manga adaptation of RWBY: Ice Queendom was published in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine on July 27th, 2022.[2]

- While the chapter follows the two episodes quite closely, the manga's depiction differs and cuts in several key ways.
- The scene where the Nightmare spying on Weiss and Jaune is cut.
- Klein Sieben is absent in Weiss' flashback against Arma Gigas.
- In the anime, Nora rides an Ursa off-screen, but in the manga, both Nora and Ren are seen riding it.
- In the anime, Weiss protects Pyrrha from a Death Stalker, but in the manga, Weiss protects Ruby from a Nevermore after they arrive at abandoned temple.
- Death Seeker's defeat is very different than the anime.
- The scene where Weiss' neck has a visible marking after Team RWBY is formed is cut.
