"Cardin's Club" is the seventh RWBY Chibi skit of the animated anthology Neon Konbini and the seventy-first episode of RWBY Chibi. It premiered for Rooster Teeth FIRST members on June 24, 2021 as the last segment of the episode "Why Do Crickets Chirp". It was later released as it's own episode on the Rooster Teeth Animation channel on April 1st, 2023. It is also included on the Volume 9 Bluray release on October 3rd, 2023.
Summary[]
Cardin creates a cool club but no one shows up to join due to his bullying habits. After asking Jaune Arc about it, he tries to tell him to try to be a nicer person. When it seems like he might try to do it, Cardin declined.
Transcript[]
In a space of pure whiteness, the giant blocky title and a certain rose emblem drop from the sky to the ground, where the four miniaturized members of Team RWBY pop out from behind it to smile, wave and adopt poses for the audience while an unseen speaker announces the show as: "RWBY CHIBI"!
The scene opens with Cardin standing atop a stool in a field of grass, in front of a pillar with a sign proclaiming "Cardin's Cool Club" in red ink on white background, with Penny a bit behind him making music on a keyboard.
Cardin: Ugh, I don't get it. It should be flooded with people if they wanna join my club. I'm the most popular guy in school! Everyone loves my pranks!
The scene transitions to Cardin being chased by an angry Pyrrha Nikos with her Miló in the hallway. Pyrrha is covered with pink goo.
Cardin: It was a joke!
The next scene is cut to Neptune Vasilias walking at the courtyard and notices a candy on the ground. Neptune is about to pick it up until Cardin appears behind him.
Cardin: (gives Neptune a wedgie) Yank them up, son!!!
The scene transitions to Cardin being chased by Coco Adel. Cardin is wearing Coco's hat and sunglasses while Coco hits him with her Gianduja while chasing him.
Cardin: Ah, c'mon! It was funny!
The scene transitions to Yang walking until Cardin trips her with his Executioner.
Cardin: (laughs) Have a nice trip.
Yang growls at Cardin with her eyes turn red. The scene transitions to the present day after Cardin reminisced his pranks.
Cardin: (chuckles) Memories. We had so much fun together.
Cardin then begins to sigh before he notices someone passes by.
Cardin: Hey! Joan!
Cardin quickly runs and drags Jaune to his club.
Jaune: It's Jaune.
Cardin: Yeah. Listen, John. Why doesn't anyone join my club, huh?
Jaune: Honestly?
Cardin: Juan, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Jaune: (fast talking) You're actually really mean. And people are afraid of talking to you and no one wants to talk to you and Neptune never used his food money it's under our money and now what's he going to eeeeat?!
Cardin audibly blinks as he considers this information.
Cardin: I think you're onto something.
Jaune: Really? You mean you realize that if you were nicer more people would want to hang out with you?
Cardin: (laughs) What?! No way, you idiot. (starts to walk off) I had no idea that Neptune dweeb still had food money.
Jaune is clearly less than thrilled by this realization on Cardin's part. Penny zips in, presses a key on her keyboard, and the wah-wah sound effect is heard.
