Schnee Dust Company[]

V6 11 00087

Adam Taurus was branded with the SDC logo after getting into an argument with his superior in the company

Adam used to be a worker in the SDC. In the past, he used to be optimistic about seeing the world even when he still worked for the company, but that all changed when he got into an argument with one of his superiors in the company and was branded with the SDC logo on his face as a result. Due to this inhumane treatment and the Company mistreating Faunus workers in general, he left the company and eventually joined the White Fang as a result. This eventually shaped his incredibly jaded and spiteful view on humanity as a whole, which eventually caused him to develop an immense grudge on not only the SDC, but on the entirety of humanity.

Adam taking joy in attacking a defenseless SDC security guard

After joining the White Fang, Adam helped them attack the SDC on multiple occasions. During one of them, Adam showed pleasure at attacking human SDC security guards and even tried to kill some before Sienna stopped him. During another instance, he was willing to kill the humans on the SDC train he and Blake attacked with no care for them at all.

White Fang[]

Originally, Adam started in the lower ranks of the White Fang after leaving the Schnee Dust Company. In the past, it was shown that he was the first member of the organization to ever wear a Grimm Mask and inspired the other members to do the same with his ideology. After an incident when Adam accidentally killed a human, Ghira Belladonna who was the organization's high leader at the time scolded him for his actions until Sienna Khan and the rest of the organization praised him for killing a human and began his rise through the ranks of the White Fang.

Adam begins to rise in the ranks of the White Fang

After Sienna was pleased with Adam's actions in the White Fang, he was promoted to being the leader of the White Fang's Vale branch, making him the very person for Cinder Fall to approach with her proposition of using White Fang soldiers for her plan. While he was originally against having his men work under a human cause, he was later forced to accept her offer when she defeated all of his men and threatened them with death.

Adam threatening his own men when his plans are ruined

Later, after enacting his coup in "Dread in the Air", Adam ascended to the position of High Leader. In "Haven's Fate", after the failed attempt to destroy Haven Academy, Adam fled to evade capture from the authorities and left his White Fang comrades behind.

Adam kills his former supporters after they mention he lost because of Blake

Due to this, he lost his position as high leader in the White Fang in Argus Limited, where his remaining followers berated him for his defeat and abandoning their brothers. Adam ordered them all to stand down only for someone to point he retreated because of Blake, resulting in Adam killing them all and destroying the high leader's throne out of anger.

Cinder's Faction[]

Adam was pressured into aiding Cinder's Faction during the events of "Beginning of the End" after he and his men were threatened with being killed by them.

At the end of the episode "Breach", it was shown that Adam was aiding Cinder Fall in persuading the White Fang to support their efforts.

White Fang[]

White Fang Lieutenant[]

The Lieutenant was very loyal to Adam, swearing on his life to find Blake Belladonna after she left the White Fang in the "Black" Trailer.

Sienna Khan[]

V5 02 00044

Adam kills Sienna Khan.

Before Sienna became high leader of the White Fang, she defended Adam's actions for killing a human to save Ghira's life along with the majority of the organization. Later when Adam planned on killing an SDC security guard, Sienna stops him and tells him to keep moving. After Sienna became high leader of the White Fang, she was happy with Adam's actions and promoted him to leader of the organization's branch in Vale. Before he leaves however, she tells him if he continues on his current path that he might eventually work at her side.

Adam Taurus originally served under Khan until he betrayed and killed the former White Fang leader to take control of the organization. Before her death, he was shown to sympathize with her philosophy of using violence to help the Faunus but unlike her, was willing to resort to even more extreme measures and later stated his desire to enslave humanity. To that end, he was willing to kill Khan in cold blood whilst thanking her for her service and using her as a martyr for his cause.

Corsac Albain and Fennec Albain[]

Corsac and Fennec Albain were willing to follow Adam Taurus before and after he killed Sienna Khan. When Adam ordered them to assassinate the Belladonna family and bring Blake to him, Fennec was worried about Adam's degrading sanity and leadership, but was reassured by his brother that his leadership would not last. In the end, both brothers only saw Adam as a means to an end who had his faults and were willing to discard him if necessary.[1]

Following the failed attempt, it is unknown if Adam knew that Corsac was arrested and Fennec was killed or if he even cared.

Cinder's Faction[]

Cinder Fall[]

V3 07 00014

Adam refuses to serve Cinder.

When they first met in "Beginning of the End", Adam appeared to dislike Cinder. He refused her offer to join together, as he did not want the White Fang to die for a human cause. After Cinder stole half of Amber's Maiden power and came back and injured several of his men, she gave Adam the same proposal. However this time he was given a choice between money and resources or death. Adam begrudgingly agreed to work with her.

In the episode "Breach", Adam said he could convince the White Fang to continue to follow Cinder's plan after the loss of members on the train in "No Brakes". While Adam helped her forces during the Fall of Beacon and the Battle of Haven, it's unknown if Cinder knew or cared that Adam was killed.

Salem's Inner Circle[]

Salem[]

Adam knew of Salem's existence, and also knew of her concern about Sienna Khan possibly opposing them. So he "remedied" the problem on his own volition by overthrowing Sienna as High Leader. Ironically, this decision ended up backfiring on both of them. After his failed assassination attempt, Blake along with her family and friends formed a militia that ruined Adam's end of the mission to destroy Haven. It's unknown if Salem knows or cares that Adam is dead.

Hazel Rainart[]

Despite being assigned to work together by Salem, Adam and Hazel had little to no respect for each other. Adam brought Hazel before Sienna to negotiate an alliance with Salem, but didn't tell him of the coup he planned to enact should Sienna refuse their offer, citing that it was "his business". When Hazel stated that no one had to die, Adam disagreed.

Their lack of cooperation was later seen in "Downfall", as Adam looked to Hazel for advice when his plans were ruined, only to receive an answer of fixing his own problem by himself. In "Haven's Fate", Adam watched Hazel as he, Emerald Sustrai, and Mercury Black escaped from Haven. It's unknown if Hazel knew or even cared that Adam died.

Team RWBY[]

Blake Belladonna[]

Adam blake 1

Partners in crime

Adam's ex-partner, the two shared what Monty Oum described as a mentor-apprentice[2] relationship. The two were operatives for the White Fang. Before Blake left the White Fang, Adam was shown to have emotionally manipulated her to stay with him after bringing up how her parents left the organization. However, this connection was severed, as Blake was seen leaving him at the end of the "Black" Trailer.

Blake saw that he did not care about innocent lives, such as when he went to set demolition charges on the train despite her protest about personnel on board. His callous disregard for the lives of the crew caused the two to part ways. However, in "Best Day Ever", Blake was shown to have a sketch of him in her notebook, suggesting she still thought of him.

Blake brought Adam up twice to the rest of Team RWBY, once about her motives for leaving the White Fang, and another time about why she was not immediately able to trust Yang's innocence after the incident with Mercury. The first time she referred to him as her oldest partner turning into a monster. The second time she described Adam as someone very dear to her who changed for the worst.

V3 11 00105

Adam vs. Blake

In "Battle of Beacon", as he and Blake encounter each other again, he called her his "darling." In "Heroes and Monsters", he called Blake "my love" and stated that all he wanted was her. This suggested a romantic history of some kind existed between them. However, since Adam's words were preceded by backhanding Blake across the face, genuine affection on his part was unlikely. He was specifically referred to by Miles Luna as the "crazy, abusive ex-boyfriend".[3]

As they fought, he manipulated her emotionally and played on her weaknesses. He railed at her about how their destiny was to change the world together and promised that she would run away again, but not until after she suffered for her betrayal. Their battle ended with him beheading Blake's clone.

In "Necessary Sacrifice", Adam displayed an unhealthy obsession for revenge on Blake as he ordered Corsac and Fennec Albain to have her brought to him alive and her parents were to be assassinated. However, he was unaware that Blake had anticipated the trap laid by her captors and managed to escape them and save her parents.

V5 14 00005

Adam fails to intimidate Blake.

In "Downfall", Adam was delighted to see Blake seemingly turn herself to him but was later angered when she and her comrades foiled his plans for destroying Haven. He attacked her in rage, only to be clobbered at the back of his head. In "Haven's Fate", Adam tried to intimidate Blake by using her fear of him but to no avail as she had clearly gotten over him. After their brief fight, Adam escaped in an attempt to lure Blake and Sun Wukong away and take them down when they were alone, but Blake easily saw through his plan.

After the Battle of Haven, in "Argus Limited", Adam's hatred and obsession for Blake grew stronger. He hated it when someone mentioned Blake's name, which resulted in him slaughtering his remaining followers upon his return to White Fang headquarters.

V6 10 00066

Finally catching his target

He finally cornered her atop the Argus radar tower in "Stealing from the Elderly" and specifically blamed her for his ruination. As the fight goes outside the tower and into the forest below, Adam vowed to never let Blake escape again. As the two fought, Adam verbally abused Blake, calling her a coward for running from him and telling her that if she had only "behaved", his current actions would not be necessary. After revealing his scarred face to Blake, he stated that no one hurt him like she did.

In "Seeing Red", when Blake says she will stay by Yang, he reminded her that she made a promise to him to stay by his side and she never kept her word. This only resulted in Yang mocking Adam, asking if Blake actually promised him or the person he was pretending to be, believing that he was emotionally manipulating her to make her think he was a different kind of person than he actually was, and never actually loved or cared about her. Afterwards, Adam was overwhelmed after Blake and Yang managed to impale him.

As seen during his fight against Yang, Adam showcased active frustration and even jealousy towards Yang as he demanded to know what Blake saw in her, implying that Adam himself was not over Blake.

Ice Queendom[]

In “Red, White, Black, Yellow“, it was shown how upset Adam was when Blake not only abandoning the White Fang, but him too. When one of the White Fang members asked if they should go after Blake, Adam retain his composure and tell them to leave her be and thinks once she learns more about the world, she’ll know they are in the right.

Yang Xiao Long[]

When Yang was heard calling out for Blake, Adam informed Blake that he would begin with Yang in his mission to destroy everything Blake loved. He provoked Yang into attacking him by stabbing Blake in her stomach. When Yang rushed him, he easily severed her right arm, then moved in to finish the job. However, Blake's interference prevented him from killing Yang.

V6 11 00098

Intent on cutting down all obstacles

Over a year later, Yang stopped him from killing Blake by running him over with her motorcycle, and then standing before him. When she vowed to hold him off, he agreed without question, intent on finishing what he started at Beacon. After a brief battle, Yang warned him to leave them be. But Adam called her bluff, insinuating she was afraid to die protecting Blake. In "Seeing Red", during their fight, Adam kept taunting her about her actions in the Battle of Beacon. He appeared to be jealous of Yang and questioned her close relationship with Blake. Yang believed that Adam emotionally manipulated Blake so she would think he was a different kind of person, with him only pretending to love and care about Blake. He was unable to control his anger, as he failed to realize Yang used her Semblance to absorb his own, much to his shock and horror. After Yang disposed of his weapon, Adam was overwhelmed after she and Blake managed to impale him.

Team SSSN[]

Sun Wukong[]

Upon being confronted by Sun in "Haven's Fate", Adam wondered if he was forced by Blake to fight for her in an attempt to intimidate him. Only for Sun to point out Adam's goons had surrendered, despite the latter claiming he had powerful friends. During their brief battle, Adam was struck in the face by Sun. He then escaped to lure Sun and Blake to pick them off but to no avail.

Others[]

Ghira and Kali Belladonna[]

In the "Volume 6 Adam Character Short", Adam saved the former High Leader, Ghira, from being killed by a human assailant. However, he was scolded for his actions because Ghira believed that it was these kinds of instances that justified Humanity's hatred for the Faunus.

After he and Kali left the White Fang, Adam used their departure from the organization to emotionally manipulate their daughter Blake to stay by his side after she tried to confront him about him killing more humans.

In his message to the Albain brothers in "Necessary Sacrifice", Adam shouted that the Belladonna name had brought him nothing but grief. He then ordered the assassination of Ghira and Kali along with their daughter's capture. His assassination plan was ultimately thwarted by Blake and Sun, with Ilia switching sides and Corsac being arrested after Fennec's death.
