For those of you who can't read it, it says "soon".
Crunchyroll just took RWBY off their playlist, leaving no legitimate websites that carry it. However, there is a simple, free, method to watch the show: Internet Archive.
https://shiruken.github.io/rt-archive/rwby/
It's got every episode, plus other pages for World of Remnant, Fairy Tales, and Grimm Campaign.
Here's a semi-rough transcript of the Volume 9 Bluray commentary. Talks about what changed during production, what some of the inside choices were, ect. Let me know what you think.

Rooster Teeth will apparently be shutting down today. Feel free to post any and all news here.
This wiki attracts a truly ridiculous amount of necroposters who respond to year-old comments and then try to claim innocence when called out on it. Why? No idea, other wikis don't seem to have that problem. But now, our issues are over!
The wiki itself has been modified to lock threads and comments after 60 days. No more will we need to use the message: "Please don't comment on threads, blogs, or comment chains that haven't been touched in more than three months." Now, the wiki will do it for us! No more shall you be troubled by some year-old question you've forgotten about being answered by some anon who can't spell! Ladies and gentlemen, the future of RWBY Wiki!
And that is how you can be a ham in text.
According to this article from the Austin Chronicle, Rooster Teeth will not be doing their annual RTX for next year.
According to the article, the Austin Covention Center will be closed for reconstruction from 2025 to 2029. According to Rooster Teeth's general manager, Jordan Levin. Levin has stated RTX hasn't been very profitable for them and will be mainly focusing on their subscription service.
So what does it mean for the future of RWBY? We don't know. To try and stay optimistic. They might announce something via social media on what is to come.
[I wanted to write something a lot longer, but realized that it would end up rambling and getting away from the point, so I'll try not to and bore those reading this. I also hope this reaches more users, because generally on these pages you will create a Discussion, you will be reviewed by a maximum of five people and then no one else comments because they are more interested in the Voting]:
It all starts in Episode 7 of Volume 9 ("The Perils of Paper Houses") where Ruby collapses, and that's where a big topic starts, because many commented that this makes sense because Ruby is a teenager and it was a very bad idea on her part. of Ozpin to put a teenager as leader of a team of Hunters of Grimm (although they were still studying at the Academy and Ozpin surely did not have in mind that they would destroy the place years before graduation), but my conflict comes when I realize that that what happens in that scene is a resource from Contemporary Fiction that I call colloquially (perhaps there is a better term) as "The Scales".
The idea of the Scale is more or less simple: you create a novel, comic, movie, series or video game and balance the plot between two genres. To give an example, in animated series for adults like "Inside Job" or "Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss" in 99% of the episodes there is comedy and jokes, and when they need the "hook", trandorman everything in the universe of the product to be able to create that dramatic scene. And the "great" thing is that they don't switch to Drama and stay there until the credits. They finish the scene and return to comedy.
Or going to the other corner: in the MCU movies manufactured by Disney, much of it is adventure and action until they have to add the joke or the "reference" (which is to say the name of the movie/series/episode/song/ singer/famous person) and it's literally pausing the movie for a few minutes to do that.
Here in RWBY something happens that's in the same league, which is Ruby makes a major mistake and they get the excuse, but the problem also leads to what's so incredibly specific that it seems like it couldn't possibly not happen.
And I'm going elsewhere, but continuing with the theme, if you watch the series, you realize the little leader development they give Ruby is very little. Because in the first 3 volumes the girls are in the Academy and they don't have as many opportunities to prove themselves as a team. Nor do they have visceral moments in a decision that ends up destroying them because of them. Literally, in Volume 3 everything bad happens not because of the girls, but because of the villains. First they make it look like Yang attacked Mercury in cold blood, then Adam cuts off Yang's Arm, Cinder kills Pyrrha and they cause Vale to Fall and NONE of it is the girls fault.
Later, from Volume 4 to 5, Ruby joins what is left of JNPR and is under the leadership of Jaune, and I know that already speaks a lot about Ruby's conflict as a leader, because she was a team leader and now she is under orders from someone else and there is no conflict with that. Because if later in Vol. 9 Ruby collapses from being a bad leader, one would expect her to behave more like a poor leader.
And when the team meets again in volume 6, all they do is fight Grimm. There's not much science to it. And if you watch the show, they almost think that in the RWBY team there isn't really a leader, because there isn't even sign language to give orders.
Then volume 7 starts, which is when they get to Atlas and get enrolled as official Slayers and continue to do the same thing, only now under instructions from Ironwood and the Ace-Ops. And the thing goes on and on, and you see that the team's players are Ozpin, Qrow (sometimes), even Maria and then Ironwood.
And we get to episode 7 of Vol. 9 and she feels too robotic, because it's the first time that Ruby has been put to plan, because in the ENTIRE series until now she has never been given the opportunity to be a leader.
And to add insult to injury: Ruby was born and raised by Hunters of Grimm; In the first episode, she barehandedly defeats a gang of gangster thugs and from Vol. 4 until now she has been traveling through Remnant fighting nightmarish monsters using a combination of bladed and firearms. And these writers want me to believe that all this melodrama is something legit?
And I can't believe this is just my idea, because people don't just remember almost everything in a series and leave out something as important as the protagonist's mistakes.
you know? Many Spanish speakers complained and continue to complain that Crunchyroll does a very poor job subtitling (but what do you Caucasian North Americans and Old Worlds care?), to the point of wanting to create their own anime streaming platform. .. And after their repellent spokesmen scammed a large number of Latin Americans, not only was there no trial, but to this day, those same repellents are still active today on the Net... without death threats. But what squash is going to matter to you, rich whites from the north and from the First World? Yes, after volume after volume in which this series tramples with each of its episodes the respect for Western Animation inspired by Anime and an Anime adaptation with the same fluidity of movement as a Hentai in which a Nun copulates wildly with an unemployed man. that I deceived you by telling you that I would commit suicide, you STILL keep giving Likes, it is MORE THAN CLEAR that the vast majority of our species is going to end up drinking a liter of Mercury as soon as they start saying in more than one means of communication that this is going to happen. cure aging and make us immortal and indestructible.
Hiya! Last year it was announced, and it is finally released to all logged in Users!
What is post history, you may ask? It is a new tool, in which if you see that a post has the "edited" tag on it, you can click the three vertical dots on the side of the post and see previous versions! This is to help with transparency, and to take a defensive stance to protect all users from any trickery that some may try to cause by editing their post. :)
This works for Discussions Posts, Message Wall Posts, and Article Comments!
If anyone would like to try it out on this post, look for the "post history" button in the three vertical dot menu and see if you can find what was changed! :D
As for the other announcement.....
Two Factor Authentication is now live, as well!
This is a new step we have taken to help y'all keep your accounts safe. It isn't automatic, though, so if you want to opt-in to it, definitely feel free to check out the blog post.
For all of you, I have linked both blog posts in the text above explaining further about it! If anyone has any questions, suggestions, or reports for glitches, definitely feel free to mention them below! Have a blessed day!
The RWBY Wiki staff have made updates and adjustments to the policies, so please take a look and familiarize yourself with them when you have the time.
Major changes of note include, but are not limited to:
1. A new rule in the Community Policy against excessively and aggressively hating on and bashing the show, its writing, and the crew behind it, including the writers and voice actors. This behavior contributes nothing and merely creates a toxic environment.
The following should not have to be said, but in addition to that, we also forbid making statements about or in reference to desecrating Monty Oum's remains. We do not care if you are joking or using it as a comparison to the quality of RWBY's writing. It is incredibly disrespectful, and it is hurtful to those who knew him.
2. A new rule in the Community Policy against abusing the new Report button. Please use the Report button to report rule violations and misbehavior, rather than reporting a post you disagree with. Spamming the Report button merely clogs up the Reported Comments page and slows down the staff's moderation.
3. An addition to the Speculation section of the Editing Policies that I personally and unofficially like to refer to as the Vernal Rule. During Volume 5, the wiki continued to have Vernal listed as the Spring Maiden until the show itself revealed otherwise, despite the fact that the community figured out the plot twist ahead of time. This is because the wiki articles should reflect what the show is displaying and saying to us, even if the community has a theory that contradicts what the show is trying to say.
4. A new rule in the Editing Policy against impersonating cRWBY, along with a request for actual cRWBY to please verify to us that they are legitimate. We would love to receive contributions from cRWBY, as long as we can verify that it is truly them and they use a registered account so that we can link to the page's Edit History in a citation showing where the information came from. Making an anonymous edit with "It's Miles and Kerry :)" in the edit summary is ill advised because we cannot take that at face value.
Hello there!
I wanted to draw your attention to a 2 week quality of life bug fixing project we’re undertaking as we work through a ton of great feedback we got about the new unified experience we unveiled at Community Connect last weekend. This work will focus on bugs which haven’t risen to critical fix levels while the engineering teams have been heads down on the unified experience work, like features not quite working the way they’re intended or the way they used to on the legacy platform.
You can read more about it this blog, but what I’m specifically reaching out about is seeing if you have any particular bugs that are really annoying but not site breaking and may have not been reported yet. We have an opportunity to get bugs like that triaged and incorporated into this project, so if that’s the case, please include below the following to help us work on these issues:
Describe the bug in as much detail as possible
What browser are you using?
Which editor are you using? Visual editor - source mode (otherwise known as 2017 editor)? Source editor (otherwise known as 2010 editor)? Visual editor? You can check your Preferences if you are unsure of which
Did this happen on mobile or desktop?
Importantly, please include detailed steps to reproduce the problem such as screenshots, links, videos etc - these are super useful
Please note this is for bugs on the site, rather than content issues on the wiki.
This is your opportunity to get a quick fix to everyday annoyances while the teams are in full bug squashing mode, so let me know quickly!
With RWBY Volume 8 only 10 days away we have a few announcements:
1. We would like to remind all users of the Spoiler Policy. Content that is currently available only to FIRST members must remain off the Wiki until the registered user's release. This includes, but not limited to, uploading images, editing articles, blogs, forum discussions, and article comments. Users in violation of this policy will be banned starting at 2 hours with each subsequent violation resulting in a longer ban than the previous.
2. RWBY will no longer be uploaded to any of Rooster Teeth's Youtube Channels and most RWBY content on the official YouTube channels have been removed except for the trailers and Volume 1 Episode 1. All RWBY content will now only be found on the Rooster Teeth website. More info: https://roosterteeth.com/g/post/2cb46a09-0c09-4875-8c1b-c517b92a9978
It looks like there are going to be issues for a while, as Fandom migrates our wiki to the new system, and there are going to be things that we will all have to learn and re-learn. For example, they have changed Source Editor to where format tags are color coded while the formatted text itself is unmarked, instead of simply highlighting all formatted text. As such, we will have to learn to keep track of what all is formatted and retrain ourselves to look for colored format tags when searching for what has gone wrong with the coding.
Article comments are still migrating, so hopefully we will be able to see them again soon. On top of everything else, it appears that the migration has actually broken a few things, such as templates and certain key wiki functions. Thus, we will all need to be patient and work together to get everything back in working order.
Apparently, Fandom decided not to include us on the list of wikis with upcoming season premieres that they will delay migration for, so we are going to have to bear with the rough spots and malfunctions when Volume 8 premieres at the end of next week.
From the r/RWBY subreddit:
He announced this minutes ago on the Backwardz Compatible stream
He will, however, continue to voice Jaune and write for RWBY.
He's branching out to work towards video game writing.
