<p>Hey there everyone, it's Sgt D Grif, and once again I unfortunately have to write one of these sorts of things due to the actions of Wikia. One of Wikia's latest endeavors has been to forcibly place low-quality videos on articles across various wikis without the consent of the userbases on those wikis. Unfortunately, we on the RWBY Wiki are among those wikis. As some of you may have noticed, certain articles, such as the members of Team RWBY, Raven, and Ozpin, have autoplaying videos on them. While we are fortunate enough to have them start off muted (except when they glitched out on me once), they are of poor quality, contain factually inaccurate information, and overall serve zero purpose other than to push our community's content down the page and annoy all visitors and editors.
</p><p>The staff here at the RWBY Wiki were not contacted or asked about these videos, nor were we given a chance to provide feedback on them prior to their implementation. We have contacted Wikia Staff in the hopes of having these videos removed, however in the meantime, we have placed a template under each one explaining to all viewers that we are not responsible or in control of them, nor should their inaccuracies be mistaken as actual canon information. We highly object to this course of action Wikia has taken against the will of this entire community, and will continue to protest this until the videos are removed.

Their media provider probably knows enough about RWBY to know that volume 5 has just ended. They're probably editing the videos for the revealations of the past 14 episodes.

<p>Whoever's in charge of the RWBY wiki videos thought Pyrrha and Cinder were engaged with each other and that Cinder ended their romantic relationship by murdering Pyrrha. Don't have too much faith in them. </p>
Their media provider probably knows enough about RWBY to know that volume 5 has just ended. They're probably editing the videos for the revealations of the past 14 episodes.</i></div>

<p>I'm sorry to bring this thread back on, I just noticed when Raven's didn't force itself upon me and I thought "oh jesus". I will never not be mad at this, if I ever find out exactly who is responsible for the major problem here (aka their researcher), they will receive the most strongly worded of emails the likes of which the world has never seen.

Prepare for them to defend the videos to their dying breath. I tried contacting them about it, and they stonewalled me with crap along the lines of "It's not for you [the editors] who are experts on the topic, it's for the more casual fans who want to learn more about the topic". You know, as if that wasn't what THE ENTIRE WIKI IS FOR!!!! So yeah, while I encourage you to do so, do not expect the response to be anything constructive. </p>

<p>I would think that experts on the topic would be better suited to explain to casual fans, rather than people who just skim the wiki and write a half-assed video littered with inaccuracies and even outright blatantly wrong statements. The videos will do nothing but misinform casual fans. </p><p>They get even the simplest information wrong. For example, in the first video they made for Blake, they made it sound like Adam was the one who left Blake behind. </p><p>In Raven's first video, they claimed that Raven, like Yang, has "magical eyes" that "flash red when she is angry or over-emotional", despite Raven's eyes being red 24/7. </p>

</div> <p>It didn't even make it to video form. It was in the scripts that they sent us to review before they made the second batch of videos, and we had to leave comments on both Pyrrha's and Cinder's scripts saying "Whoa whoa, they engaged in battle, but they were not engaged to be married." </p>

<p>Like, there's literally no point to these videos(other than ad revenue). All they do is give false information that any moron who looks on the wiki could know is wrong.

</p><p>Wikia gonna do what wikia gonna do; if we had a better option we would use it.
